What to expect
Vinyl can be installed using one of three different techniques: full-spread, perimeter-adhered, or floating installation. With full-spread installation, installers apply adhesive to the entire substrate. With perimeter-adhered installation, the adhesive is only applied to seams and perimeters of the vinyl flooring. Finally, a floating vinyl installation involves no adhesive at all. As with any other flooring product, it’s important to be prepared and know what to expect.
During & after installation
Depending on the type of vinyl you have selected for installation, the process will vary in duration. Self-stick vinyl is easier to install since the adhesive backing is already present. Vinyl that require glue adhesive will require more work. No matter the installation method, you can trust the experts at KR Flooring Solutions!
After installation, you’ll need to make sure the room has good ventilation for at least 48 hours after the job. You can help ensure good air flow by opening up windows and turning on fans.
